Trails, Tasters & Textures: The Adur Art Collective June/July Newsletter

Welcome to your summer creative briefing! This month, we are rallying urgent volunteer support for the grand opening of the Adur Art Trail on Saturday 6th June. We are also showcasing an inspiring line-up of upcoming events, including the "Extraordinary Flowers" exhibition launch, fresh nature journaling retreats, and a brand-new season of monthly Drink & Draw nights in Shoreham. This month:


  • Art Trail Volunteers Needed: Urgent call for 7–8 volunteers to distribute brochures at the Saturday Market on 6 June 2026 (Help needs for multiple slots; contact Seana Mallen details in the Newsletter PDF.


  • Katie Sollohub Online Workshop: "Movement Marks and Meditation" somatic drawing session on Thursday 18 June at 5 pm (£30); includes free Tuesday Zoom tasters for AAC members.


  • Extraordinary Flowers Exhibition: Opening event on Saturday 6 June (10 am – 4 pm) at the Atrium Gallery (Seawhite of Brighton); viewing after opening day is by appointment only.


  • Seana Mallen Nature Classes: Series of salt-marsh inspired workshops, nature journaling courses, and day retreats; AAC members receive a 15% discount.


  • Drink & Draw Monthly Events: Held at Palette Bottle Shop in Shoreham, featuring themes from custom wine labels (7 June) to candlelit portraits (4 November).


  • Sussex Summer Workshops: Rural farm-based masterclasses announced at venues across Sussex, including The Waldron, Charleston, and Farleys House
