Atelier Open 2026: A Call for Local Artists to Exhibit on the Seafront

For our members looking to branch out toward the Brighton coast this summer, the fifth Atelier Open is officially inviting submissions. This annual highlight is hosted by the experienced team at Tutton & Young, known for their high-calibre events like MADE Brighton and the Brighton Art Fair.

What makes the Atelier Open Exhibition a special opportunity special for our collective is its inclusivity; the exhibition welcomes almost any style, medium, or subject matter from artists aged 16 and over. Whether you work in traditional oils, contemporary digital media, or 3D sculpture, there is a place for your voice here.

Why consider the Atelier Open?

  • Prime Visibility: Your work will be displayed in the heart of Brighton’s beach arches, catching the peak summer footfall over an eight-week residency.

  • A Massive Showcase: Following the success of last year—which featured nearly 400 pieces from over 200 artists—this year’s show promises to be a dense, vibrant celebration of regional talent.

  • The "Salon" Feel: Both gallery spaces at Atelier Beside the Sea will be transformed into a brimming wall-to-wall exhibition of diverse art forms.

Essential Dates:

  • Deadline to Apply: Sunday, 24th May 2026.

  • Exhibition Period: Late July through mid-September 2026.

This is a fantastic chance to transition your work from the Adur district to a major Brighton stage. If you've been looking for a "big summer show" to join, this is the one.
