Sam

Samantha is a West Sussex-based artist who established her professional practice in 2021 following a lifelong commitment to creative observation. Her foundation is built upon a self-directed path of study, and recently includes training through West Dean College of Arts and Conservation. Her professional development is defined by a move into large-format works, where she is building a reputation for creating resonant spaces that invite deep viewer engagement.

Beyond her studio practice, Samantha is a committed advocate for inclusivity and sustainability within the arts. She serves as an Ambassador for Outside In, a national charity providing a platform for artists who face significant barriers to the art world. She is also an active member of the Adur Art Collective, contributing to the vibrant creative community of the Sussex coast.

Deeply committed to environmental responsibility, Samantha is a member of The Scrap Space, a creative reuse facility. She integrates a circular economy into her practice by sourcing discarded art materials and substrates from the facility for her work, while regularly donating her own surplus studio supplies back to the organisation to support other creators. Her work continues to evolve as she explores the intersection of local ecology and sustainable material possibilities.

To explore Samantha’s latest collections or to acquire an original piece, a curated selection of her work is currently available for sale through her gallery on the Outside In website at: outsidein.org.uk/galleries/samantha-jane-anderson/

In keeping with her commitment to social impact, 50% of all sales proceeds go directly to supporting the charity’s vital mission. By collecting her work through this platform, patrons not only invest in her evolving practice but also contribute to a more inclusive art world, ensuring that artists facing significant barriers continue to have a voice and a stage.
