Ricardo Purnell studied photography at the Kent Institute of Art and Design. Working in both black and white and colour, his practice focuses on landscape andstreet photography. He is a two-time winner of the Shoreham Wordfest Poetry Slam. His self-published debut, Near the Water, marked his first exploration of the intersection between photography and creative writing. With Transit, his secondphotopoetry collection, Purnell turns his lens toward theshared spaces of public transport and the subtledynamics of human connection in transit.
