Annie has been making and creating for many years and has become a bit obsessed with hand stitching since giving up paid work a few years ago. She is inspired by Indian and Japanese stitching techniques, in particular kantha and sashiko, which she uses, along with collage and printing to create wall hung works.

She also repairs and embellishes clothing using a range of visible mending techniques. Most of the materials she uses are ‘found’ on the beach, in charity shops or gifted by friends – she tries not to use anything new.
